The story of Privillage Stare began with a deep connection to Bohinj and a family tradition rooted in craftsmanship. What started as a small family-run pension gradually evolved into Garni Hotel Stare, a place many guests still remember with warmth.
Today, that story continues in a new form. Privillage Stare is no longer a traditional hotel, but a boutique Alpine resort where the same values remain at the core: hospitality, authenticity, and a close connection to the landscape.

The inspiration for the name Privillage Stare came from a combination of two words: Village and Privilege.

For us, the name also expresses something deeply personal: the privilege of living in this remarkable part of the Triglav National Park, and the wish to share that experience with our guests.
