EU Project: Wooden Pavilion & Sustainable Upgrades
Privillage Stare – B&B, Villa and Chalet Resort by Lake Bohinj, Slovenia, received support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) to improve rural tourism facilities and promote sustainable tourism.
NAME OF ACTIVITY
As part of the investment “INVESTMENTS IN MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES AND CONSTRUCTION OF A WOODEN PAVILION” we will carry out the maintenance of facilities and the construction of a wooden pavilion under sub-measure 6.4 Support for investments in the establishment and development of non-agricultural activities.
SUMMARY
The company IMPEL d.o.o., owner of Privillage Stare – B&B, Villa and Chalet Resort, applied for an investment in the maintenance of facilities and the construction of a new wooden pavilion. With the implementation of the investment, the accommodation capacities will be upgraded. With the investment, they will offer their guests better and higher quality accommodation, be able to follow measures to reduce energy consumption and increase material efficiency.
Goals of the EU-Funded Project
The funds obtained through this EU call will help us achieve:
- renovation and modernization of our tourist complex,
- increase in net sales revenue,
- higher number of overnight stays,
- maintaining current employment levels,
- strengthening rural entrepreneurship,
- expanding the scope of work,
- raising added value per employee,
- enabling sustainable growth and development,
- diversifying the tourist offer,
- improving competitiveness of our resort,
- contributing to climate change mitigation.
MAIN ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS
These investments were the subject of a public tender. The investment includes the maintenance of the facilities and the construction of a wooden pavilion. Required activities:
- maintenance work at Villa Stare,
- installation of a photovoltaic power plant at Villa Stare building, to produce renewable energy,
- carrying out wooden tufts from solid wood of spruce and larch, roofing shingles,
- maintenance work at the Hotel Stare facility,
- renovation of the building “Facility D” – greater use of wood.
EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
- increased market share and competitiveness,
- higher company revenues,
- more employment opportunities,
- promotion of horizontal goals:
– higher use of wood,
– eco-friendly energy from solar power,
– reduced water consumption,
- overall improved environmental footprint.
